PVC4Cables Launches New Website to Enhance Stakeholder Engagement and Drive Sustainable Innovation
Registration Open for the 4th PVC4Cables Conference: Market Development Through Innovation
PVC 2024 is back as an in-person event. As a key sector of the global PVC industry, cables will be in focus at the three-day event in Edinburgh's International Conference Centre.
Gianluca Sarti from PVC4Cables partner Reagens will present the paper PVC Cables: New Generation and Safety in Case of Fire on innovations in low smoke acidity compounds for PVC cables. Due to new formulations, this new generation of compounds enhance PVC's inherent fire-retarding properties and suppress even more emission of smoke in case of fire.
Detection of legacy additives in post-consumer PVC cable waste is crucial to meet the current and upcoming regulations. In his paper titled Innovative Detector to Identify and Sort Lead-Containing Post-Consumer PVC Cables, Alessio Boscolo from Phoenix RTO will present a groundbreaking handheld device that can detect the presence of lead in PVC cable waste. The waste can then be sorted and managed correctly.
Another highlight for the cable sector is New Very High Molecular Weight PVC for High Performance Cables by Armin Teymouri from ECVM member INEOS Inovyn.
We look forward to three days of insights and networking in Edinburgh, 15–18 April 2024!
